About ME

I am an artist, illustrator, outdoor instructor and mum of four based in Morocco. Since childhood I have always loved drawing and have been particularly inspired by finding beauty in scenes of normal life. I now specialise in watercolour and ink though I sometimes dabble in acrylic and mixed media. Morocco is an incredible country full of colour and life, the Atlas mountains soaring to above 4000m offer a backdrop to a lot of my work,  As an outdoor instructor I have been able to explore these mountains and get to know the amazing people who call them home, I have been privileged with glimpses into the culture and lifestyle here, and see the tension between the old and the new. I have felt one of my mandates as an artist is to try and capture the old ways of life which are becoming rarer to see, I have always been fascinated by the old traditional houses built into the mountainside like warrens, each one unique and beautiful. Since the earthquake in September 2023 it feels even more important to me to try and capture these scenes in ink before they change completely.  I hope you enjoy browsing my collection!
